2] Content Architecture.

3] Content Distribution.

4] and Content Identity.

So each of the four [4] components of content strategy is a crucial piece of the puzzle.

And that will help you create a content strategy that works for your business and achieves your goals. 

Let’s talk about each one separately. 

The Four [4] Components of Content Strategy:

1] Content Audit and research. 

The first step in creating a content strategy is to audit and research your current content. 

So this includes: 

-Take a look at what content you have.

– where it’s published.

– how it’s performing.

– and who is responsible for creating it.  

Then you need to do some research into your audience: 

– their demographics. 

– their interests and habits. 

– and also their behaviours online. 

Once you’ve done that, you can figure out where your audience lives online: 

Where are they hanging out on social media? 

And what sites do they visit most often?

Content audits and research can help you understand how your content is being used. 

Therefore Content Audit and research are critical steps in creating a content strategy. 

2] Content Architecture.

The second component of content strategy is Content Architecture.

 Content Architecture is the order and arrangement of information on a digital property.

It is the careful planning and design of website content so that it is easy for users to understand and use.

And it is responsible for creating an information layout that reflects your business’s needs, content and messaging.

So content Strategy and Content Architecture work together to establish the foundation for creating content that is:

— effective,

— and meaningful.

3] Content Distribution.

Thirdly component of content strategy is Content Distribution.

So content distribution is a way to get traffic to your website. 

It’s also known as inbound marketing.

Content distribution helps your content appear in front of your target audiences organically.

 So it is the strategy. 

It is not just a channel or a tactic, it’s a fundamental strategy. 

And so it includes all activities that bring your content to your audience.

– SEO and keyword research; 

Optimize your content for search engines to make sure you appear on relevant searches and pages in search results.

– social media: get traffic from Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Google+.

– guest blogging: reach new audiences by writing for other blogs in your niche. 

Or build relationships with bloggers who might promote your content when they publish their posts.

4] Content Identity.

 – Nowadays, people have limited time. 

So that is why your content should be specific to a single and meaningful topic.

It’s also one of the most popular types of content on sites like YouTube.

2] User-generated content strategy: 

User-generated content is one of my favourite types of content strategies. 

This strategy involves creating a contest or offering incentives for your audience to submit their ideas and posts. 

You can then curate these submissions and publish them on your site. 

And also create an evergreen library of valuable information that will attract more visitors to your website. 

3] Curated content strategy: 

In today’s day and age, there’s so much information out there that it can be hard to cut through all the noise. 

So curating your content is a great way to stand out from your competitors. 

You simply find relevant articles on topics related to your business and then publish them on your site. 

4] User-generated video strategy: 

Videos are another one of my favourite types of content strategies. 

They are proven to drive more engagement than any other type of content online. 

This is because people engage with videos three times longer than any other type of media online. 

Even including text posts or images.

5] Customer-generated content strategy: 

Customer-generated content is another one of my favourite types of content strategies. 

It’s similar to user-generated content.

But instead, you give your customers a platform to share their own experiences with your product or service. 

For example, if you run a restaurant, you could give your customers a platform: 

– To share photos and reviews about their dining experience on Yelp or TripAdvisor.

6] Live-streaming content strategy:

 So live-streaming is another one of my favourite types of content strategies. 

This strategy involves creating a video that is broadcasted in real-time to your audience. 

For example, if you’re a company that sells products on Amazon. 

You could create a live stream where you show people how to use your product. 

Or if you run an eCommerce store, you could show people how to style their outfits with your clothes.

7] Long-form content strategy: 

Long-form content is another one of my favourite types of content strategies. 

It’s where you create a piece of content that’s 2,000 words or longer. 

For example, if you’re an SEO company. 

You could write a guide about how to improve your website’s SEO. 

Or if you run a tech company. 

You could write a step-by-step guide on how to build your website from scratch.

8] Question-and-answer content strategy: 

So question-and-answer content is another one of my favourite types of content strategies.

 And it’s where you create a piece of content that answers a question or set of questions. 

For example, if you run an SEO company. 

You could write a post that answers some common SEO questions that your audience might have. 

Or if you run an online store, you could write a post with all your store’s shipping and return policies in one place.

9] How-to video strategy: 

How-to videos are another one of my favourite types of content strategies. 

And they’re similar to how-to content, but instead, you create a video that shows people how to do something. 

For example, if you run an SEO company. 

You could create a video where you show people how to optimize their website’s SEO. 

Or if you run an online store, you could create a video where you show people how to properly fit clothes from your store.

10] Micro-influencer content strategy: 

Micro-influencer content is another one of my favourite types of content strategies. 

And it’s where you partner with a micro-influencer, who has an audience of between 5,000 and 100,000 followers. 

For example, if you’re an eCommerce company selling shoes.

 You could work with a micro-influencer to get people from Instagram to buy your shoes online.

11] Creating a schedule strategy: 

So creating a schedule is one of my favourite ways to build your content strategy. 

Because it’s where you plan out all your posts for a certain period in advance. 

For example, if you’re an SEO company. 

You could create a social media posting schedule that includes when you’re going to post on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and more.

12] High-quality content strategy: 

A high-quality content is another one of my favourite types of content strategies. 

And it’s where you create a piece of long-form, high-quality content that focuses on a specific problem or pain point that your audience has. 

For example, if you run an SEO company. 

You could create a 3,000-word guide to doing SEO that goes into a lot more detail than an average 1,000-word guide would go into.
